The base game for Extra Chilli Megaways is played on six reels with an any way wins system. In this system, wins are given for symbols anywhere on each reel so long as they are consecutive and start from the leftmost reel.
The number of symbols on each reel is randomised (between two and six symbols). There is also an Extra Reel that adds symbols to the bottom of reels two to five. As a result, the number of win ways can vary from 324 to 86,436.
When a winning combination is hit this triggers a Reaction. A reaction is where the winning symbols are removed from the reels and new symbols fall down from above (or from the right on the Extra Reel).
Wilds, Bonuses and Free Spins
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter symbol and the Feature Drop symbol.
The Scatter symbol serves to trigger the bonus feature. Three Scatters gets you eight free spins and every additional Scatter nets your four more free spins on top of that.
When the Free Spins are triggered the player is offered the chance to either play their free spins immediately or to gamble. With this Gamble Feature you can win up to twenty-four free spins, however, you can lose all your free spins if you lose.
During the free spins, a multiplier is added to each win as you win it. After each win the multiplier increases by one. You can also win additional free spins if three or more Scatters fall in the Extra Row. Four more spins for three and eight spins for four.
If you just can’t wait for the Scatter to land you can use the Feature Drop to buy your way into the feature. Feature Drop symbols can land on the reels during regular play and will reduce the price for buying into the Free Spin feature by the number on the symbol. When the price reaches zero the free spins are triggered automatically.
